About Misty Jade
BMus (Hons) Music, IFC Music
Misty Jade, a Lithuanian classical pianist and composer, has carved her musical path with a blend of passion and precision, finding her artistic home in the vibrant city of London. Born with absolute pitch and an innate musical curiosity, Misty embarked on her journey into the world of music at the tender age of seven in her homeland, Lithuania. It was there that she first discovered the enchanting allure of the art of piano playing and began her formal studies in piano performance, music theory, harmony, history and solfeggio.
Driven by her passion for knowledge and growth, Misty made the pivotal decision to pursue higher education in the United Kingdom, where she sought to deepen her understanding of the musical craft. She immersed herself in depths of musical theory and composition, earning IFC in Music and BMus (Hons) Degree in Music at Goldsmiths University of London. During her studies in London Misty honed her skills, broadened her musical horizons and refined her compositional style.
Inspired by the great Western Classical and Romantic periods and blended with echoes of the haunting and soul stirring melodies of Eastern European folk music, Misty's compositions unravel stories that are born from a timeless emotional depth of one's soul. This eclectic blend infuses her music and performances with an intense depth and richness, that captivates the hearts and minds of her audiences.

Beyond her work as a composer, she is a dedicated collector of historic music keyboards and manuscripts, driven by a passion for preservation. With this in mind her mission extends beyond performance and creativity – she seeks to introduce modern audiences to the authentic sound of historical pianos and educate them on the significance of preserving historic music keyboards and manuscripts. She also advocates for their conservation, ensuring these historically significant artefacts are not lost to time. At the heart of her vision is a commitment to keeping the language of tonal classical music alive.
Misty is the founder of Music That Lives: The 19th Century Music Salon Experience and Harmony at Heart: The Tonal Composers Society. Both projects actively encourage and support preservation of historic keyboard instruments and music mansucripts and also support modern-day composers and musicians whose works flow within the traditions of Western tonal classical music, in hopes that its rich heritage will continue to resonate for generations to come.
